Shopping Centre Demolition Commences – Toombul Shopping Centre

The Rosenlund Contractors employed by Mirvac have commenced demolition on Toombul Shopping Centre, located at 1015 Sandgate Road, Nundah.

Local group Rosenlund Contractors has initiated the demolition of the former Toombul Shopping Centre, a process estimated to span approximately 12 months, contingent upon weather conditions and progress. Throughout the month, Rosenlund Contractors has been engaged in several site establishment activities, comprising the setup of site offices, installation of controls and monitoring devices, delivery of large equipment and machinery, and the safe removal of hazardous materials in compliance with guidelines and legislation.

Mirvac is working on the future vision for the site, with no future plans for Toombul determined. There is still no confirmation from Mirvac in the announcements of a supermarket, theatre or major retailer returning or that the gross floor area will match the previous shopping centre.
