FSC Athletics Winter Update No. 2 – Farmingdale State College

NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference’s released its second weekly reports for the winter season Tuesday morning, and one Farmingdale State College student-athlete earned a weekly award while another earned weekly honor roll recognition.

Women’s Basketball (2-2) | Skyline Report

FSC went 2-1 last week in the five boroughs, earning victories over Medgar Evers (Tue.) and Hunter (Fri.) before falling to undefeated Widener on Saturday at Hunter’s Tip-Off Tournament.

Freshman forward Taneece Wooden (Freeport, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference’s Rookie of the Week, after averaging 17.7 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game over the stretch. On Friday, she poured in a team-high 30 points against the Hawks.

Head coach Mark Dellecave‘s Rams kick off Skyline play next Wednesday (Nov. 29), when they travel to Mount Saint Vincent for a 6 p.m. tip.

Men’s Basketball (4-1) | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State picked up a 110-62 victory at Brooklyn College on Wednesday night, before dropping a close home contest Saturday against Ramapo.

Senior swingman Nick Hurowitz (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) collected a weekly honor roll nod from the Skyline, as he averaged 21 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per outing — including a 29-point contest on the weekend versus the Roadrunners.

Head coach Brendan Twomey‘s side next plays host to Wesleyan University on Saturday at 2 p.m., before welcoming New Jersey City University for a 6 p.m. start on Monday night.
