33 street style moments from New York Fashion Week that you need to see

If you’ve been in New York (or on Instagram) at all over the last few days, you’d struggle to miss the slew of pretty major street style looks being rolled out for fashion week right now.

Of course there’s nothing like the arrival of the season’s biggest runways to serve up some major wardrobe inspiration – but while the catwalks undoubtedly provide endless wish list additions, there’s something to be said for the real-life application of those looks being worn by show-goers that sees street style become one of the most popular elements of the fashion week circuit each season.

While Copenhagen Fashion Week may have only recently wrapped, the arrival of New York’s showcase in fact marks the very start of the traditional fashion fashion month which sees the ‘big four’ fashion capitals debuting their vision for the following season. And while the runways are serving up autumn/winter 2024 collections, the looks sitting front row are very much current season

So what are we seeing from the street style set in New York right now? Well there’s no such thing as an official ‘dress code’ at fashion week, but it seems many of these attendees agreed to keep things monochrome and ditch colour.

Of course we have spotted occasional pops of colour every now and then, but there have been more than a large majority of guests who’ve opted for head-to-toe black looks. And while we have to admit we generally favour a bit of little colour to add some personality to a wardrobe, we’re definitely not mad at this super sleek look being adopted by so many fashion fans in New York right now.

But fear not, if you’re more into bright colour and super creative street style looks – London‘s up next. Watch this space…
