#2 – Rainline

The two-year-old filly by Rommel won by a nose last time out as a $4.40 chance, and punters should expect shorter odds.
However, it’s not an easy race, but he’s a smart type.
Race 2. (14:34) Tabtouch Westspeed Heat 1 (1200m)
#2 – Special Sort
Special Sort was good enough to win five on the bounce last preparation, and that’s tough to ignore.
The four-year-old has yet to race on the track, but he won his only start at the distance, and he loves running second-up.
Getting 2kg off his back only adds to his appeal.
Race 3. (15:09) Glenroy Chaff Handicap (1000m)
#8 – Bolta
Bolta owns four placings from seven starts, and he has experience at the track and distance.
The three-year-old gelding by Sessions gets every chance off the inside draw, and he comes off a tidy placing at Ascot.

#1 – Aztec Ruler
Aztec Ruler isn’t overly consistent this preparation, but he’s a five-time winner at Belmont.
He owns six wins and three placings from 14 starts overall, and four wins have come over the distance.
Getting the inside draw with weight off his back is ideal.
Race 5. (16:24) Quayclean BM72 (1200m)
#2 – Triple Jay
Triple Jay was too good for them at Ascot last start, so he’s worth sticking with.
The four-year-old son of Street Boss owns two second placings at Belmont, so having form on the track helps.
William Pike rides, which adds to our confidence levels.

#5 – Too Dardy
Too Darby has been right around the mark throughout his career, including three wins and three placings.
The four-year-old son of Demerit won three races at Belmont, so he loves the track, and they also came over the distance.
It’s not an easy field, but he should be tough to beat.
Race 7. (17:35) Celebrate WA Raceday 1MW (1200m)
#4 – Celebrity Prince
Celebrity Prince is getting close to a win after running third at Belmont last time out.
The four-year-old son of Xtravagant has yet to finish worse than third in four attempts at Belmont.
There’s nothing wrong with his form, so we’re including him in selections.

#1 – Western Empire @ $1.90
Western Empire is seeking three consecutive wins after winning at Northam and Belmont.
The six-year-old gelding by Iffraaj won his only start at Belmont, and the nine-time winner overall has class on his side.

Race 9. (18:50) WA Day Festival BM66 (2200m)
#4 – Sowar
Sowar is a consistent and experienced type, who can’t be left out at each-way odds.
